A 9 minute 50 second masterpiece from the band <a href=\"https:\/\/weedian.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sleep<\/a>. This single was the first release since the album &#8220;Dopesmoker&#8221; and before the album  &#8220;The Sciences&#8221;. It can be seen as a transition from and into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I bought the vinyl single (12&#8243;, black see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murpworks.com\/musicfan6160\/stoner-rock\/i-can-see-clearly-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>) which is a single track on one side with an etching on the other. As discussed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murpworks.com\/musicfan6160\/vinyl\/vinyl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vinyl<\/a>, I&#8217;m not removing the platter and adjusting the belt etc. so I&#8217;m streaming it from <a href=\"https:\/\/sleepsl.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-clarity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bandcamp<\/a>. It&#8217;s becoming a useful platform for me. It provides the discovery of new music and the ability to play things like this 45 rpm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of the new music I&#8217;ve recently discovered, Sleep, along with Boris and Fu Manchu (you can see my discoveries <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murpworks.com\/musicfan6160\/metal\/another-band-to-add-to-the-canon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murpworks.com\/musicfan6160\/metal\/more-boris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> respectively) are simply just making my life better! I don&#8217;t know how I lived without them&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Clarity &#8211; First Play<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sublime!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From its pulsating beginning, through riffing and guitar tone to die for, on with lyrics to make me smile &#8220;the dealer is my refuge&#8221; and bass and cymbals. By the end, I just want more. Nine minutes is too short! Well for a Sleep song anyway.
