Mu and I have been watching a YouTube<\/em> channel called Sailing Kittiwake<\/a> for quite some time now. It charts the travels of a young couple, initially on a Catamaran called Kittiwake (hence the Channel name) and then on a Sailing Boat. The last episode we watched, last week explained that the female of the couple had contracted Dengue Fever!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dengue Fever is a mosquito-transmitted disease and not at all pleasant, even in a mild form. Here is detail about it<\/p>\n\n\n\n The couple had been sailing and living in the Caribbean and she had contracted the disease. She is almost fully over the episode now thankfully, but it had been an ordeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This made me think of the band Dengue Fever<\/a>. They are a Cambodian\/American Indie Rock band or at least they were when I saw them. They formed in the 2000\u2019s and you can read all about how they did here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mu and I saw then at Glastonbury in 2011<\/a> (captured in my A Condensed History Pt. 5<\/a>) Two of their songs really stand out for me<\/p>\n\n\n\nDengue Fever<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
